The first 30 meters of the new well Ktzi 203 have been drilled at the beginning of June.
After the setup of a larger drilling rig, the second of totally four drilling sections for the 800 meters deep observation well started on 21/8/2012.
This well will reach down to the storage formation, where the rocks have been in contact with CO2 for four years. In the framework of the CO2MAN research project, the aim is to sample rock material of the storage reservoir and the cap rock and to characterize it in order to compare the laboratory experiments with the real reservoir.
