The CO2 injection at Ketzin was completed at the end of August 2013 after more than five years of operation (more). Therefore, the two tanks, in which the delivered CO2 was temporarily stored, as well as the above-ground facility with ambient air heaters and pumps were dismantled this week.
The monitoring of the CO2 storage site is scheduled to continue through the GFZ in the coming years.
