Visit of the Midwest Geological Sequestration Consortium and the World Resources Institute

Sallie Greenberg, Assistant Director of the Midwest Geological Sequestration Consortium (University of Illinois, Champaign IL, USA), a successful CO₂ storage site in the US and Sarah Forbes, Senior Associate of theWorld Resources Institute (Washington D.C., USA) visited the pilot site at Ketzin on April, 4^th 2014. As in Ketzin, where CO₂ injection ceased in August 2013, the project in Illinois will stop injecting CO₂ by the end of 2014. In future the projects will intensify their collaboration to interpret project results of the full CO₂ storage site life cycle. A special focus of the work will be on the transferability of results and the abandonment of a storage site.
