Visit of the Midwest Geological Sequestration Consortium and the World Resources Institute

Sallie Greenberg, Assistant Director of the Midwest Geological Sequestration Consortium (University of Illinois, Champaign IL, USA), a successful CO2 storage site in the US and Sarah Forbes, Senior Associate of theWorld Resources Institute (Washington D.C., USA) visited the pilot site at Ketzin on April, 4th 2014. As in Ketzin, where CO2 injection ceased in August 2013, the project in Illinois will stop injecting CO2 by the end of 2014. In future the projects will intensify their collaboration to interpret project results of the full CO2 storage site life cycle. A special focus of the work will be on the transferability of results and the abandonment of a storage site.
