From the end of August through mid-November 2015, GFZ will carry out a 3-D seismic repeat measurement at the Ketzin Pilot Site.
This work is an important part of the monitoring concept which has been successfully applied during the last years. By means of 3-D-seismics surveys, the location and propagation of the CO2-plume can be detected precisely in a depth of 630 m.
GFZ will perform this work in close cooperation with the Uppsala University, Sweden, who has been a partner in geophysical monitoring for many years.
