From May to September, 2012 a 800 m deep borehole (Ktzi 203) will be drilled by the order of the GFZ. Scientists are interested in drilling cores and will investigate the injected CO2 with a variety of technologies.
The Brandenburg State Agency for Mining, Geology and Raw Materials gave the permissions and will supervise the planned activities.
The drill site construction will start in May/June, 2012. The drilling follows from June to September, 2012. The injection of CO2 will stop during that time.
